My Spit Hurts

"My spit hurts," says Cullen. This can only mean one thing, his throat is infected again. Friday we go to the doctor with spit hurting, a cough, and a fever. He has bronchitis and tonsillitis. Poor guy can't catch a break with being sick. He has an appointment with a ENT on April 15. We will see what happens then.

He is feeling better! Meme has been a life saver. We owe her so much. Thank you Meme!!!!!

Bedtime Stories

Bedtime is always interesting around our house. Last night I put both kids in Cullen's bed and read stories. Here are a few pictures of the end result.
Cullen is still wide awake, and Jennifer is out.

Smoochy face...
Sleeping peacefully. Notice the receding hairline. We have some curls growing back

Big Boy

In the last week, I have seen a big change in Cullen. He seems so grown up. What I mean is that, since Jennifer's arrival, he has become more independent and just more Big Boy acting. In some ways it is good because it helps, since Jennifer is little, but in another big way it is sad. My Boy is getting big. It seems like yesterday that Cullen was the one I was rocking and holding in my arms. Time flies, and they grow up so fast.

Brent tells him that he is going to put a brick on his head, so he'll stop growing. If I could only slow time, so that I can make sure I take in every minute of their childhood. Cullen is a great son and big brother.

Cullen and Jennifer are amazing gifts we have been blessed with.

Easter

I was able to go Cullen's Easter egg hunt at school. Jennifer and I had a great time with Cullen and his classmates. This is rare since I am always teaching during his parties.

Easter Egg coloring. Jennifer tried to get in on the action.
Easter morning was fun. Cullen loves to go through everything and hunt the eggs the Easter bunny hid. It is so much fun to watch him. Jennifer took a different approach to the morning. SLEEPING
My two Sweet Angels. They looked so cute in thier Easter Attire.

Go to flickr for more pictures. You must see the Easter fit. Jennifer does not like to be bothered with pictures on special occasions. I was lucky to get this shot. She screamed her first morning before church and Easter. It will be something cute to tell her about one day.

Spring Break

Brent and Cullen have been on Spring Break this week. We have enjoyed a nice, quiet time at home. The week has passed by very quickly, and they will be back at work and school on Monday. We have built ant farms, went on walks, took naps, played dinosaurs, watched movies, cleaned house, and did I mention played dinosaurs? It has been a great week. I will miss them next week.

I only have one more week at home with Jennifer. The time has flown by, so fast. Here are a few snapshots from Spring Break.

Our Week

On Febraury 29, 2008, Jennifer was 3 weeks old. She is changing everyday. It is hard to believe that tomorrow she will be 1 month old.

Another 3 week picture...

Jennifer's first trip to church was March 2, 2008. Cullen was excited, but as you can tell, Jennifer was not. It was not a good night for her, so she was a little grumpy.
They both looked adorable .

On Tuesday, I took Jennifer back to the doctor for her acid reflux. It is O.K. during the day, but at night, we are having a very rough time. They gave us another medicine to give her at night. This is helping so far.
Her weight as of Tuesday was 8 lbs 4 ozs. This is a gain of 1 lb 4 ozs since February 29th. They had some concerns at first because she was not gaining. There are no more worries with this...

Apple Pie Recipe

Cullen and I enjoyed an apple last night after dinner. He said we should make an Apple Pie. I told him that I did not know how but would look into getting a recipe. He informed me that it was very easy and to write this recipe down.

Here is Cullen's Recipe for Apple Pie:
A little bit of water
3 cups sugar
A few apples
3 slices of cheese
Mix all together
Put in freezer until frozen together
Then eat it!
He will want to try this out. I just know he will!
