Our visit to Mobile...

Well, on December 27th we were suppose to leave for Mobile. We had packed, made reservations at the doggie hotel for Aggie and Nomar and we set to leave when cullen had a stomach attack. He had been fussy and not eating much for a few days and contributed it to lack of sleep and so much going on. This morning he refused drink and food. He wouldn't walk or play. He kept saying hurt mommy hurt. Then he began turning red and stiffening up. This from past experience could only mean one thing. His stomach trouble was here again. Sure enough he was hurting so he would not allow himself to go to the bathroom. Trouble for us all. We could not travel with him in this condition.
We tried everything but nothing. We called his pediatrician and he put him back on medication. It was not looking well. We had to cancel the trip because Cullen was not drinking, eating ore going to the bathroom! Poor Buddy!!!

I called to break the sad news. Everyone was disappointed but understood the situation!

Papa and Nana decided Cullen could not go without his Christmas from Mobile so they brought it to him on their way to Amarillo, Texas. They arrived on Thursday afternoon with a truck load of presents! Cullen and I waited in the drive for them to arrive. He was very excited. Cullen went straight to Papa poor Nana. Just kidding, he warmed up to Nana very quickly! Cullen enjoyed opening all of his presents. After each present he opened, he would take it to Papa for him to take it out of the box. The big hit of the trip was Thomas the Train. He rode it and rode it. Here are the other things he got: Barney squirt subtub set, pooh books, potty book, moon book , Bible story book, savings bonds (3) yeah, barney story book & micrphone set, dump truck, new jacket, Jesus loves me shirt, Little People a to z Zoo, Little People Fun Park, Leap Frog ABC Bus, Letter Factory, Farm Hayride and animals, Learning Connections Train and Thomas the Train. Thank you all so much for all of Cullen's gifts and for ours. We enjoyed them so much!

It was a great visit with Papa and Nana. We went out to eat Thursday night. and out for breakfast Friday morning. Then they played with Cullen for awhile before they had to leave. It meant a lot to me for them to come out of their way for Cullen!

I am mailing everyone's presents to them so be on the look out!

It meant so much to us for Papa and Nana to come and visit. We only wish they could have stayed longer.

Happy New Year!!!!

Poor guy! I feel his pain. Brandon would get constipated from time to time as an infant, but nowhere near as serious as Cullen. He is such a trooper to have gone through all the medical problems he's faced. And he is still such a sweet, kind-hearted kid. He has every right to be a grouch for the next 17 years! I hope he feels better soon!
